    Questa One VeriThreader addresses this challenge by enabling a comprehensive digital verification thread built on Verification Capture Points (VCPs), structured coverage artifacts that link parameterized requirements to the verification results, models, context, and configurations. By capturing verification activities across multiple domains and abstraction levels in a common form, VCPs help engineering teams establish measurable verification coverage, improve cross-domain traceability, support formal audit requirements, and better understand the impact of change throughout the lifecycle.

    Introduction

    Over the past two decades, coverage-driven verification transformed integrated circuit development by giving teams a quantitative way to understand which aspects of a design had been exercised and which verification goals had been achieved. Coverage databases, composed of measures such as functional coverage, code coverage, and assertion coverage, provided an objective way to track progress and identify gaps.

    Modern system development requires an equivalent step forward. Today’s products combine hardware, software, electronics, system models, and increasingly sophisticated operational environments.
