UVM Monitor
The first task of the analysis portion of the testbench is to monitor activity on the DUT. A Monitor, like a Driver, is a constituent of an agent.
A monitor component is similar to a driver component in that they both perform a translation between actual signal activity and an abstract representation of that activity.
