Correct way to kill sequences

I’m the author of that paper and can explain exactly why the driver will not call item_done before it calls get_next_item(). When you’re in one thread, all other threads are either sleeping or coming up next in the scheduler. The driver’s run phase launches a driver thread which calls item_done(). When the agent executes the stop_sequences and triggers reset_driver, that is the active thread.
