IEEE library std_logic_1164 (VHDL)

Hi all,

Just a wondering question VHDL:
What does 1164 mean in std_logic_1164 (IEEE Library), is it just a number or it means something else?

Forgive me because the question is not related to the UVM but I am dying to know.

It refers to the standard number assigned by the IEEE.
