BUt sir 1000 in sign and magnitude gives -0 which is complex for computers to understand what value do they take for 1000?
Some are saying when it comes to 1000 (-0) in sign and magnitude we should go for 2s complement method which results in -8. Enlighten me

I think sign and magnitude notation is mostly historical and has very few advantages.
