Mr shalfbeast

Is there anybody else out there who thinks that the OVM guide is not very good for newbie idiots like myself!?
Every time I come to do a Testbench in SV I take a look at this guide then soon glass over when I start hitting macros in objects.
It seems very complicatyed for a module lvl testbench.
Is there any sort of idiots guide?

You may want to look at the book mentioned at http://www.fpgasimulation.com/

It covers what I consider to be the minimum needed to be productive with the OVM in a few of its chapters.

I completely agree with you. Though there are several examples, each of them tend to follow their own way of doing things. I believe it shows the power/capacity/range of OVM features but for simple module level TBs it is a problem indeed. If you are familiar with basic SystemVerilog for Verification, then we have a 1-day “beginners” class on OVM to get you started. Drop us an email (training @ cvcblr.com ) if you are in Bangalore (India) and interested.
