Hi,

Eclipse XML plugin is used to edit the spirit file and vaildate the same. The steps which is mentioned in the document is an example of how to modify/create the spirit file using eclipse XML plugin. I have installed windows edition it works fine as mentioned in the document but linux edition didn’t work for me. Finally I have used vim editor to create my own spirit file and I have validated using the utility package along with the regmem1.1 package.

Let me know if you have any issues in using the package.

Thanks,
Anand-

The document reg_mem.pdf supplied with the reg_mem package is missing one crucial step during the eclipse tool install. Took me quite some time to find that missing step.

1.7.2 Installing Eclipse Plug-in
When the Eclipse installation is complete, install the xml plug in as follows:

  1. Go to Help → Software Updates
2.In the text box enter xml, all available XML related plugins will open. Select the two elements of
the first node (under Models and Model Development)

Before going to step 3. add these steps
2.a
.Go to Help → Software Updates again
2.b…In the text box enter xact, IP-XACT related plugins will open. Select and install the Plug-in
IP-XACT Electronic Data-book Editor.
2.c Restart the editor after install.
