UVM 1.2 download

I’m trying to download the latest UVM 1.2 source code and docs, but not sure which one I really should download. I’m confused with their organization on the Accellera web site. They have UVM 2017 v0.9, v1.0, and v1.1, and also UVM 1.2 itself. What are the main differences on these versions? And which one should I download to get the complete, full suite?

Is UVM 1.2 source code provided at IEEE (1800.2-2017)? Or IEEE standard only just provide the reference docs but not source code/implementation?

Thanks,
Richard

Accellera developed the initial UVM library and documentation up to version 1.2. The IEEE took Accellera’a UVM 1.2 and created the IEEE UVM 1800.2 standard, which gets releases in reference manual form only. The IEEE does not release source code. Accellera took the IEEE 1800.2-2017 UVM Reference, and has release several versions, the UVM 1800.2-2017 v1.1 just last month. Note that the Accellera version numbering of the IEEE base class library is separate from the original Accellera UVM 1.1d/UVM 1.2 numbering.

I suggest you discuss this with other people in your organization before picking the latest version. Also, your tool provider provides UVM packages for you so you don’t need download it yourself. There is still a large contingent of people using UVM 1.1d and UVM 1.2. Strict backward compatibility has yet to be achieved.
