Packed vs unpacked array

Pardon me if this is a repeated or question is very basic.

I would like to know when to prefer packed over unpacked array or vice versa.

The way you answered is probably not the best way; much less if one is a moderator …

I do my best to help others find answers. Given that you already thought this might be a repeated question (which it is), I’m asking if you were able to use this site’s search feature . If that’s not working, we need to fix it on our side or yours.
